We had this problem a few years ago.  The noise was so great that we initially thought it was a water leak.  When I opened the bedroom door there were millions of them and I resorted to hoovering them out of the air.  A specialist said it starts in the attic.  They get in there and breed.  He put a smoke bomb up there and we stood outside and sure enough, thousands flew out of a gap in the barge boards.  A few moments with a mastic gun and the problem was 99% solved.  We get the odd cluster now but sprays or paper will clear those.  Hope this helps Peter

Yes we saw it and at first I thought it was another of those where people with no skills and no money take on a wreck and it all ends in tears.  This didn't and they triumphed through shear hard word and grit.  The previous C4 programme was of twins who were doing up a building in Suffolk and they squabbled their way through the project and the budget went through the roof.  Everyone's right who says Kevin is an excellent presenter: the UK projects have been no less extraordinary.  We found the programme to be uplifting after the various disaster ones.        

Went to the station to buy a paper when we were last there and on my way out ran into a posse of police and armed soldiers.  I've nothing to fear of course but suddenly realised that my passport was at the flat and I had no means of identification at all.  Fortunately, they were all stood about gossiping so I passed through them unhindered.  One minute the station is crawling with them, the next they're all gone. Since they spend their time talking to each other I wonder what they're up to ...
