Chancer
Brilliant!! [:D]I loved the guy insulting the passenger by calling him a vegeterien [:D]I cant work out if that was Gerard or a sosie, if it was him then he has a great sense of humour and had risen above the scandal. Christine Animal
Yest it's him, but I prefer Edouard Baer (the guy insulting the passenger), he can be so funny. He was in that programme where they take a celebrity to a place they don't know the destination of in some remote part of the world and meet and live with the people there. A wonderful programme as there's such warmth and complicité which builds up between the guests and their hosts of such different culures.Edouard Baer was taken chez les Dogons en Mali. He has such a sense of humour and so did they. Chancer if you could see the whole programme I'm sure you would enjoy it. Here's a bit (on the second video) where he does a guide du routard imitation in the middle of nowhere.http://www.telleestmatele.com/article-26504984.html if you can't get it right away, click up in the right hand corner "go to blog".Paroles de sage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lr7byE3Gvw&feature=relatedHere's the whole programme here I think.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRs5xdfwY18&feature=related
Chancer
Thankyou for that Christine, I have watched 15 minutes but now a rare work break beckons, I am looking forward to the rest.I have seen a couple of these programs before, its an excellent format and always filmed with compassion and humour, yet some of the rather needy celeb's have rather taken the edge of it for me.I hope you realise that you are now responsible for me adding another tribu to my list to stay amongst when I next put on my backpack, the cynic in me couldnt help but notice that the two of them had slung theirs nonchalantly over one shoulder, no portage for the celebs! Christine Animal
Did you see the one with the lovely Gilbert Montagné au Zanskar? This cuts off just before, but when he meets the family and they tell the mother he is blind she starts crying.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LsmkI_9prMg&feature=related

rowland
Have only just seen this thread but it reminded me of a time years ago when we were travelling through France. We stopped at a Frites van in a lay-by and started to enjoy the most wonderful chips. A car pulled up in front of ours, a man got out and promptly unzipped his flies and peed directly in our line of vision. We carried on eating our chips and then my husband said " he really did need to go" It doesn't sound at all funny now but it was one of those moments that has stayed with us .We have a neighbour at our holiday home who comes home every day, parks his car and then promptly pees in the gateway!!!! Husband reckons he his saving on his water bill by not having to flush the loo!!!!

idun
I have seen these, but frankly never fancied using one, although it must be very convenient sometimes.
