I've just spent the morning cleaning my oven, a job I'm sure not every one enjoys.In the UK there are loads of small businesses who will come and do the job for you - at a cost depending on size etc. The last time I paid £50.I said to my OH - if I were younger and was living in France full time - certainly something I'd consider setting up.However, they may be out there - if so, and if anyone knows of one in 36, please let me know. Chancer Posted August 30, 2012 Share Posted August 30, 2012 I used the service between lets as I was so disgusted with the state the tenants had left the oven in and knowing that I would deduct it from their deposit there was little point me doing it myself.It came to £35 including the hob and the young girl had to travel from Camberly to Gatwick and back to do the job plus she was working through an intermediary so probably got a lot less herself.I guess the same service were it to exist in France would be a couple of hundred euros if they could be bothered to answer the phone to take a booking [:(]I think there is a real need for specialist cleaning services to the rental sector, now we have AE (for the time being) I am surprised that many havn't appeared. She was getting some special equipment ? steam cleaning?She did get some clients, but I don't think she ever quoted a price. It could be a useful service for people who let out gites. Cleaning Posted June 23, 2021 Share Posted June 23, 2021 Cleaning Pro has a great guide for how they go about oven cleaning.They recommend using baking soda, dish soap or bleach, and water.
