Abrivado Posted February 12, 2003 Share Posted February 12, 2003 Can anyone who's been here full-time for more than 2 years tell me how much of your income actually goes on social security?We've been told that it's about 50euros a month for the first 2 years, and after that it's calculated according to your income, but in spite of many phone calls to many agencies, we still can't find out how much it'll be.As life in France is proving to be just as expensive as life in the south of England (I've even got friends in London and Hampshire to compare shopping prices for me), we don't want to commit to living here permanently and find ourselves having to consider every single euro-cent because we're crippled by social security payments.Hoping someone can help Ab.
