She also has an assurance vie but my mum is saying that this is a waste of money at this stage of her life and something else should be done with the money.could someone help with some info on this?thanks in advance. Most importantly there are significant inheritance tax advantages.What exactly is your mother suggesting that she do with the money that is better than an Assurance Vie?
