MKT Posted March 25, 2006 Share Posted March 25, 2006 Can anyone advise where on my declaration de revenues (if indeed anywhere) I have to put the £500 i was left (in the uk) by a godmther when she died last year?. I am french resident. Keep it, say nothing and just carry on as normal.Now that is what I would do and unless some official comes on and says differently, that is what I suggest. Hegs Posted March 26, 2006 Share Posted March 26, 2006 You won't have to pay gift tax on overseas bequests until you have been tax resident for a number of years (5 out of last 7 I think).
