My husband is retiring and we are moving to live in France but do not know if you have the choice of where to be taxed or it is France.Will his pension be sent gross to France (as i think) and then be taxed under french rules or (as we have been informed) will the U.K. tax his pension and send us the balance and also a tax credit to the french system. zeb Posted September 7, 2006 Share Posted September 7, 2006 Only UK government pensions are taxable in the UK. You will have to declare it (what you recive after moving to France in 2006) on a French tax return (which you collect from your local tax office next April/May).
