Hester
In 2007 I received a tax overpayment refund (generated from completing the FD5) which related to the salary earned in the UK before coming to France. I wonder if anyone could advise a) where might be the best place to enter this on this year's tax declaration and b) after reading another thread, if it is necessary to declare it as it is a refund that was owed whilst fiscally resident in the UK. Thanks Hester.
Ron Avery
For what its worth I don't believe that you have any tax liability on this in France, as you said yourself "which related to the salary earned in the UK before coming to France.
allanb
I suggest that it's even simpler than that: a tax refund is not taxable income.
