Ok are you ready for to days Lesson ?

The WD40 logo came from the USA San DIEGO California and it was during testing for protection for casing of weapons "rocket' the "W" stands for water. The "D" stands for detection this means water damp etc can not penetrate  the metal etc

And the 40 was the 40TH formula before they found what they we're looking for to be correct.

I use a lot of WD40 it is a very good product And now you know what it's all about.

The name W.D 40

Came about because the W= water and the D is deterrent and the 40 is that the product your buying was the 40th completed selection and tested to pass as the product to be used,

W.D 40 is not an oil but a way of keeping water /damp etc away from parts "electrics" such as wiring for spark plug connection wire , But WD40 will act as a thin liquid to loosen rusted parts and also as a cleaning fluid used with fine grade wire wool will clean rusty parts and help polish metal, But remember it is not an oil and will dry up "so if moving parts are to be cleaned etc remember to re-oil/grease before use

W.D Is also a good glass cleaner ie shower doors, if used to clean the shower doors you'll find they do not steam up as much.

Google WD40 For many more uses.
