He has done other works for us in the past. M Posted May 29, 2005 Share Posted May 29, 2005 We waited 3 months for roof on our outhouse to be done - this was a small 1 week job.When we got the devis for the main roof we asked that the work wasn't started for another 10 months, which he agreed to. He wouldn't commit himself to start and finish dates which was a pain because we're not resident and needed book crossinga to be there whilst work was being done. We didn't know for sure when he would start until 1 week before.Just be careful to check the devis over. We had a situation where builder forgot to include the main beam on the quote which we hadn't noticed. He sent an extra devis for this later. The final bill was split, one invoice for each quote we'd signed for (the original and then the extra beam).Emma Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
