Anglo French Association - Charente Maritime.

If you have not already heard, a new Anglo French Association has been recently formed and initially based at Royan.

Its aims are to encourage integration of the English speaking community into  French  life and also welcomes French memebetrs wishing to learn more about the English speaking world. Two meetings ahave been held so far, at which an embryonic committee has been formed as well as a Social Group, a Cultural Group and an Educational Group - with more in the pipe line.

The second meeting attracted 43 "members", including five French people, with the expectation that many more will be coming on board.

Following the first two "exploratory" meetings of the Anglo French Association, an exciting programme is now in course of preparation. You are all cordially invited to the next meeting, to hear what has been outlined and planned for you and, of course, for you to submit any ideas of your own for future events.

The next meeting will be at 18:00 on 6th September at the Maison des Associations, Espace Pelletan, 61 bis rue Paul Doumer, ROYAN .

For those of you perhaps too far from Royan, one suggestion open for discussion, is the formation of informal groups at other venues in or around Charente Maritime. So if you can make the 6th September at least, that will help the newly formed committee hear your views.
