Building a new house

Hi,

We are contemplating building a new house in the Lot area probably near Montcuq, which we visit about twice a year at the moment. I was wondering whether anybody else has had a new house built in the Lot area and if so roughly how much it cost etc i.e build cost per square meter and what the quality of the build work was like? I am very interested in all stories especially the ones of woe, as I can use these as a heads up on things to look out for!!
