Hi, We are contemplating building a new house in the Lot area probably near Montcuq, which we visit about twice a year at the moment. I was wondering whether anybody else has had a new house built in the Lot area and if so roughly how much it cost etc i.e build cost per square meter and what the quality of the build work was like? I am very interested in all stories especially the ones of woe, as I can use these as a heads up on things to look out for!!   Thanks in advance!

Hi, My family and I plus horses and dogs are hopefully moving out to the region in 2007. Even though we have visited the area several times and know a few families in the area, I was wondering what other peoples opinion was of the area as far as schools, doctors and general living is concerned? Hi, This could be brilliant news although not knowing all the details is quite frustrating! My family and I are looking to move to just outside Cahors in 2007, so it would be really good to find out who is planning to fly there as this could be spot on for us!!!  

Coco,   Thanks for the reply. In which direction are you an hour away? Also how much do you charge? We are going down south and wish to stay over for one night on the way down to Brittany and will probably wish to do the same on the way back up again!

 Hi! Does anybody have an idea of good areas for horse riding? We are going to move to France in @ 5 years time and are still a little unsure of the best place to move to? One of the main criteria is good riding as we do long distance endurance riding, so need access to really good riding for training. We have friends who live just north of Toulouse and they raive about it down there and I know that it is quite good for endurance events , but I want to make sure that we check out all area before making the decision?   Thanks for your help
