Are you sure, once a declaration has been processed surely one cannot just amend it on line.
Apparently one can now amend one's declaration online until 30 Nov I believe. This is new this year; Clair brought it to our attention; details here under Nouveauté: Corriger votre télédéclaration en ligne.

I submitted the revised tax return, on-line, on 16th September. Today, I got a letter confirming the new, reduced, assessment.

What's more, the rebate will be made automatically.

I'm happy.

Thanks to everyone for their help (and encouragement)

Cheers

The french tax authorities have just written to me asking for a lot of information from myself and wife:

- Copies of passport

- Details of UK pensions (taxable in France)

-Details of rental income (including tax paid on it in the UK)

- Proof of the above

- Proof of valid S1 or E121 (certified by HMRC).

I guess that my writing to them asking to change my tax return just drew their attention to me.......
