Paula
Last year my friends and I came over to Bolougne for the Xmas Markets - and want to do the same this year - anyone know when they are on - can't find anything on any websites - but only had a sneaky look in my lunch time at work. Any info greatly received and if anyone knows a good hotel for a friday night nearby also as well as some good restaurants - cheers Paula

Paula
Thanks - just the information I was looking for - if anyone else knows any hotels/restaurants nearby would be great to hear from you. Thanks
Alexis
Lovely hotel in Boulogne...Eclos de l'Eveche. Slightly more expensive than Ibis but we liked it. It is in the old town and close to all the restaurants. It is expensive to eat there...they do do offers though. You will find it on google. Cassis
Don't do the Ibis - please! I was forced to stay there once during a dock blockade and it was awful, plastic and soulless. Maybe it has changed?Have a look here for recommendations - it's a good site.http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotels-g196632-Boulogne_sur_Mer_Nord_Pas_de_Calais-Hotels.html
Alexis
The place we like is just through the archway opposite the Ibis. (There might, of course, be more than one Ibis.) You enter the old town and after the Church, turn right until you see the hotel and the big parking next to it. Not far.
