Low temperatures/freezing pipes.

Didnt drain the water from our heating/water systems in Oct as I usually do for the winter as I am going over again on Thursday.

With the recent drastic fall in temperatures I am now worried the pipes may freeze up. Apart from the obvious (water pouring in) what should I look out for when I arrive. Should I just put the central heating on and cross my fingers.
