Proposed Tax changes for 2017

I was more interested by this bit:

Le crédit d’impôt particulier employeur pour tous

Aujourd’hui,

les retraités peuvent bénéficier d’une réduction d’impôt de 50 % du

montant des dépenses engagées pour l’emploi d’un salarié à domicile et

non d’un crédit d’impôt (ce dont bénéficient les travailleurs et les

demandeurs d’emploi), ce dernier permettant un remboursement au

contribuable en cas de trop versé. Le retraité qui n’est pas imposé ne

bénéficie donc d’aucun avantage. Le PLF propose de transformer cette

réduction en crédit d’impôt.

Sorry to come late to this thread.  I read it originally but did not think the above part (per NormanH) was of great interest to us any more as we were not currently paying anyone by CESU.

However my father (93½) is going to be employing a "home help" from January and we will ceratinly be using CESU for that.  It would make a huge difference to him if the fiscal advantage changed from money off his tax (no benefit as no tax payable) to a credit d'impot.

This change would be logical too as those who need help are not always the better off!

I should take more notice of these things but does anyone know whether these changes to the tax regime in 2017 are going ahead please?
