Chris Evans . . . who would you have offererd TW's slot to?

I wake up listening to Sarall (for you Cathy :-)) and when Ter comes on he's generally in the background and then switched to R4 while I work; I listen to Chris driving home, but I wouldn't have seen him in that slot, I'd rather listen to Johnnie Walker for his music or Liza Tarbuck for a giggle, who would you see in the slot should Chris go awol again?

 I'd keep Johnny Walker - I have loved his voice since I was a teenager and still do, trouble is I think he would be unwilling to take it on....

Having seen Chris Evans talking to Andrew Marr on the BBC this morning, I think he will do just fine, and is an excellent choice.

Yes I have to agree with Will. Chris Evans has had a rocky road in his media career to date , but watching him in recent interviews and on the Andrew Marr show this morning, he seems so candour and relaxed - the best I've ever seen him. I cannot think of anyone better to replace Wogan, and wish him well. He doesn't get to choose the music on his new slot and as he put it, will be offering the same format as Wogan but in a different way.

I hope he at least keeps reading out the "Janet and John" stuff, it always made me laugh out loud, at both the content and the delivery.
