What do you think of Corbyn's and Bercow's refusal to attend the state dinner that will be given for Trump?

Eeek, what a dilemma!  I don't know what, if I were in their positions, I would do....

I know that I SHOULD attend because it comes with the territory, so to speak, BUT, I don't think I could shake Trump's hand and not be overcome with extreme nausea[6]

Bercow represents the UK parliament and should attend. He does not have the right to refuse. Makes me suspect his other behaviours.

Corbyn, well, he has to continually prove himself to his extremist support base so really had no choice. But I wonder if he would have refused Putin?

I have no views either way, but they must have their reasons, to risk the backlash.

What do I think? I think that they are being honest and standing up for something that they believe in.

I do think that Mr Bercow should be there, as well as others in official positions - it’s the official visit of the President of the USA, not of ‘Stable Genius’ Trump, there’s a big difference.
