It has a picture of an Eagle carrying a Child on it.Done some research and it may be Aquila the Eagle carrying Antinous or Zeus carrying Gannymede (bit dodgy that one).Do you think the French would put Greeks or Romans on French firebacks or is it some other French myth?Your thoughts appreciated...
