How to put a picture?

Could some kind soul explain to me if it is possible to put a photograph onto this area.

If it is and you don't mind explaining could you possibly keep it brief and in childlike phraseology.

Hi Weedon,

When you click on 'reply', it will bring up the post reply screen.
You will see within the message an icon of a small mountain with a yellow background, click that to insert a picture from a website and type in or browse for your image.

Or

If you would like to add it in html format instead, click HTML rather than design (at the bottom of the message window) and type the HTML tags with the path:
<img src="http://www.whatever.com/whatever.gif">
