We'd like to say thank you but taking them out for a meal would be a little awkward due to our ineptitude in french (OK for the market but not 2 hours at the table!). Deby Posted May 31, 2005 Share Posted May 31, 2005 An Aperootherwise known as an aperitif.Just a few crisps, olives, saucisson and something someone has made, by husband or wife - or even something typically english (cucumber sandwiches).It is a very french thing to do and avoids the long drawn out french dinner. You can make the Apero as long and short as you like. 30 mins to all evening. But usually comes to a close when everyone has run out of things to say.
