Patf
These old posts have obviously been pruned radically. There was a time when the format allowed you to intervene anywhere in the discussion to insert a comment or disagreement etc so you had several discussions going on at the same time. There were no moderators at this stage. Probably this system was just too lively and anarchic to control when moderators were introduced. ( Not intending this to lead to illegal discussion of moderators, just making an observation.)
Clair
Could it be because some sections of the forum were not created all at the same time? The "Other topics" is newer than most, for instance...
woolybanana
Yes, things were more mixed up then I seem to remember. So edgy could take place in say pets or in a discussion of comparative brick sizes
The several discussions in one thread format disappeared when there was a software change. The new (at that time) forum software didn't support the sub-discussion format. Which, imo, was no loss. [:P]

woolybanana
Yeah, the guy really does it for me, so firm, authoritarian, almost like a pilot driving a plane. When he gives me a warning I feel so turned on I wanna be warned all over again. RH on the other hand, well, sh'd blush I know. And blushing a mod is a beatable offence isnt it sugarbuns. Dago

Well I tried to have some kind of dialogue on the Frenchie/Krusty thread but they are so locked into their 'nicey nicey' mode that there is just no point.[:(]
What dialogue would you care to have old chap? What depths plumb, what heights scale, what plains cross? Within my many limitations I am your Passepartout in this venture to the end of the world, well, the mods patience really.
You are too clever for me to be able to talk with you, I am the stereotype ex-pat with no brain, bad language skills, no dress sense and no original thoughts in my head, all of the things that you so despise, in my humble opinion of course.regards
I take back what I said, you are not too clever you are just seriously wonderful [:D]Post edited by a mod!!! woolybanana
Is there any special reason for your ire or is this a general statement. In what way have I ruffled your feathers this evening, in what way offended, in what way not given satisfaction. Please tell old chap. One does not like to cause wavelets you know. Or offence to others
Dick Smith
Gentlemen! Is some sort of reconciliation possible between you? I know the Tagster takes some taking sometimes, but he means no ill, and Dago is not an unreasonable man, surely?
woolybanana
Oh yes, I only wish to appease his ire. perhaps he might explain it further that I might understand my sin. Pray tell. After all I think we only met yesternight
