Pierre ZFP
Pandora's box indeed. But not only is the box open but Pandora has scarpered off down the road and out of sight.Even Monsanto admit that they have no clue as to which soya is GM and which is not anymore (to mention only one crop)
Théière
Not just scarpered off down the road but banked the ill gotten gains, handed out share dividends to more toe rags in red braces, bought a super yacht and sailing around the world laughing at all of us.Signing up! Aardvark
And there's some new Transatlantic Trade Agreement (or some such name) that the Americans are bulldozing the nitwits in Brussels to sign (behind closed doors by the way). Lots of things in it that sound beneficial but it also sneaks in some things that are clearly biased in favour of the good ol' US of A. Like European nations will not be allowed to state on labels that the food contains GM ingredients. They know the general public are getting wise to the dangers and want the wool pulled over our eyes making it impossible to know what we are eating. They have already managed to restrict labelling in several US states and now they have targetted us as well. Apart from the GM issue this agreement in essence removes individual nations' rights to restrict any products coming into their own country for any reason. Théière
Likewise Jonz an odious bit of legislation designed for big business to be able to override governments or suffer smartassed lawyers in court for potentially massive compensation claims. It effectively clones other countries into addition US States
