woolybanana
They were always lying. cajal
From the link. 'Ce risque de dérapage résulte "quasi exclusivement d'une sous-estimation des dépenses de l'État, sur lesquelles les pouvoirs publics disposent pourtant des capacités d'action les plus directes", déplorent les magistrats de la Cour des comptes'.I await, with baited breath, the responses of our comrades in castigaiting this in character socialist attitude towards public finance mis-management of our tax €'s. woolybanana
It is certain that the estimations of one Jeremy Corbyn would be out by much, much more, largely downright lies.
richard51
Now now WB your prejudices are showing. Comparing JC and Hollande is not fair.In terms of American democrats Hollande is more like Hillary Clinton whereas JC is more like Sanders. As has been said before, compared to most politicians JC has some integrity. woolybanana
JC will more likely turn out to be like Joe Stalin, a happy smiley cuddly image with an iron fist.
richard51
Your prejudices too Cajal. Spending on the public is far better than putting it into the hands of the likes of Philip Green. Are right wing politicians whiter than white in this respect?
richard51
Please not like the "Iron Lady".
woolybanana
Richard, I couldn't agree more about Philip Green and his ilk, but the problem with public spending is that it is wasteful and inefficient.By the way do you know of any sources which give the actual amount of money which is left to spend after it has been 'processed' by government? In other words, for every £100 taken in, how much actually gets to those entitled after so called expenses - admin charges, hierarchy charges and the like. These would I assume be the politicians (right and left, but principally right) who accepted the independent pay body review and voted themselves a 10% wage increase, while ignoring other independent pay bodies and capping service workers to 1% maximum pay rise. woolybanana
Out of interest, did any politician turn down the pay rise?
andyh4
Some have, or have used the increase to employ researchers or assistants. Of course the only ones I know of are those nasty left wingers.
cajal
Are you people all nuts or something? What has Jeremy Corbyn, Philip Green, uk public authority pay rises and all the rest of the krap that is discussed got to do with the FRENCH administrations mis-management of the economy for the past five years? richard51
I think it was your reference to socialist views which you did not quote again. Certainly WB followed that up. I'm a little surprised that a person of your intellect failed to appreciate that.
cajal
I think it was your reference to socialist views which you did not quote again.
Why wouldn't I reference them? The topic does after all refer to, and I quote, "Mr. Hollande's book keeping". Now humour me here Dicky, remind me again, what particular political persuasion was this Mr. Hollande character?
I'm a little surprised that a person of your intellect failed to appreciate that.
Get away with you. You old charmer. But seriously though, you must be mistaking me for another cajal you must know, for if I were to hold but a mere grain of intellect, do you seriously believe I would frequent a place like this? richard51
Ok we will have to disagree over the direction then.Getting back to France as you wish, aren't you glad that the corrupt right-wing fellow Fillon didn't get in.

richard51
Wow Cajal thank you for that epiphany - I now get it.The meek and mild Maggie May who wants to rule for all the people is really controlled by that dastardly character MR MAY. He makes her do girlie things and drags her off to the backwaters of the lanes of Wales where people in funny black hats ply her with phials of bile which she then spews out during the week in Westminster. Not sure who controls that stout fellow Trump though- probably the people who grow the money trees.Anyway - thanks and have a nice day. But beware the Welsh - isn't there a few who post regularly on here.NB no offence to the welsh intended.
mint
Yeah, just leave off the Welsh, will ya?Cajal, our very own Penelope, NOT! She is, at best, anglo welsh, didn't grow up in PROPER Wales, rather on the border with ENGLAND, with all that nasty English influence!! Plus, they are all lawyers AND she had PONIES as a child! To cap it all, she's called PENELOPE, with people in France being unable to pronounce her name in the English or the French manner............did'nt grow up in the valleys, didn't have a coal-miner father, nah, she ain't no Welsh....See, she's not called Myfanwy or Blodwen?Have you watched any of the British Lions on tour? Them beefy Welsh boys, they aren't do so badly, don't you think? And how about our dear Marine now? Being investigated for "misuse" of EU funds and remind me again whether she is from the left or the right?Yes, bonne journée everyone...........for once not bucketing it down[:D]
mint
Yeah, they've done it, the Lions; the series is still alive[:D]Ha, ha, the Welsh boyos played their gallant part; so no more snide remarks and Cajal I am looking at you[:P]
