woolybanana
Just had a couple of days east of Rouen then down to the Loire Valley. A reminder of just how lovely this country is. Never seen so many stunning roses in my life.Wow, I remember why I am here now.
richard51
You obviously have forgotten rose gardens in the UK. Superb in UK too.Aren't gardens in france more for vegetables?

Judith-aka-Judith
I had the same "gorgeous" moment in Ireland recently. Never seen so many rhododendrons in my life. Just as when an unexpected view of France happens, sunflowers once it was, I remember, you are just stunned, and reminded of the beauty that is nature when it's in full bloom. suein56
OH and I are in glorious Finistère .. so very different to our part of Brittany down in the Morbihan. The coast here is wilder and much more rugged than ours .. and the fields have a more constrained English look to them than those round our way.All together a most super stay .. though the weather could have been better as it has been mostly blowy and wet .. with only the occasional kind day. OTOH I understand from our offspring in the UK that they are suffering more than us with lots and lots of torrential rain.
