Weather problems: Could I have an update on travelling to France please ?

Hello !

I am due to travel Po/Caen tomorrow afternoon.

What are the road likes ?  Is the traffic on  the M3 and A3  ok now   ?  and  the  Caen- LeHavre motorway ?

Not too sure if this is of any use, but I have just travelled from Southampton to Weymouth without any problems. It was bitterly cold (-4 to -6) and foggy in places.

In the UK : Drizzle forecast for Saturday with heavy snow forecast Sunday, it is very, very cold so watch out for ice ...........

Arrived in Worcester at 2.00am this morning. Via Eurotunnel. A Eurostar was stuck in the tunnel and we were delayed 2-3 hours. Travelling up by car from Haute Vienne was ok - roads cleared, snowploughs doing their job. In UK, M20 was clear(ish) going north, but total stack south - jack knifed lorry, overturned vehicle etc. Operation stack in progress, but apart from that M25/M4/M5 ok. A bit of ice, but driveable.

Lots of snow here in Calvados and we are on Orange alert. Side roads impassable, but AFAIK the main roads south from Caen are passable with care. The Ouest France on line is helpful, but I have no way of giving you a first hand report as we have been snowed in for days.
