la-vie-en-rose Posted October 1, 2007 Share Posted October 1, 2007 I threw a ripe quince into a thicket for our guest cocker spaniel to retrieve, went on hanging out the washing, looked down and he'd swapped it for a leveret.Tragically he'd broken its neck and it died in my arms shortly after.I don't throw anything too far any more - but, isn't it an odd time for leverets to be around?We live about 30 miles south-west of Toulouse, and usually see them in May.
