Clever Cat for finding it!

Sounds appropriate to me, memory a bit 'iffy'*  these days, and dredging into the murky recesses of the brain for something almost seen sounds about right for me.  Sad if the Telegraph got it wrong too.

 But I bow to Clair's superior knowledge & would not risk using it and sounding  like a Wolly!

Reading the item here (it's down the page a bit) suggests that "presque vu" is not the same as the idiom "sur le bout de la langue".   It appears to be, for want of a better description, a state of mind rather than the searching for an elusive word which the latter conveys.  A sensation or feeling that there is going to be a change of state.  The use of the word "epiphany" is interesting.
