Please excuse the plea for help but, as most on here will know, je ne suis pas calé pour la grammaire française [:(]

So, can someone be so kind as to change the following sentence into Passé Composé for me:

Elle s'y couche et s'endort immédiatement.

Thank you.

Thank you, Eric.

It was the "y" that, as always, confuses me!

I look at this one tiny little word which amounts to just the one syllable and I am never completely sure where I put it!

It's even worse than that other little troublesome word "en".

Sweets,

long ago, when I was at school, we used to have to chant in unison:

"Me, te, se, nous, vous,

before le, la, les,

before lui, leur,

before y,

before en"

to make sure we got them in the right order.  I still do it (under my breath)!

Angela, I remember your writing that out for me here on the Forum and it's copied into my diary [:D]

It's just that with the Passé Composé, I wasn't at all sure where I put "y" in the example which I provided and which Christine solved for me so promptly.

I am finding French (as I do English also) endlessly fascinating and I now go to 2 classes every week.
