Stedman_Triples
a quick search of amazon.france revealed no results but I expect you already knew that, I believe the book is also out of print at the moment as I have been trying to get a copyI remember the BBCs serialisation of the book but that must have been 20 years ago and I just remember a tiny sparrow of lady all dressed in black regailing the mayor about the pissoir in the middle of the town, you dont see many of them now but when I do I always have that picture in my head... a bit like the lampost in The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe (I treated myself to a new copy of that this week as well) but I digress dont get me going on booksGood Luck with your search let us know if you find anythingElaine
Julie_and_Dick
Do you mean the 1957 film or the TV series? If you try Google you may find the film is available, nothing on the TV series, even the book is out of print and unavailable at Amazon.Regards,Dick
Jake
I always find the attached website (imdb) an absolute must if looking for a film. I have attached the link for the above film:http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0040236/From this it appears not be available on DVD or video, but ebay would worth checking periodically. A lovely postcard on the subject, for example, at the attached link:http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2207136903&category=16749Kind regards
letrangere
Vanessa, how interesting that you mention this for my husband asked the precise same question last night - he's read the book several times - and I was going to have a little hunt this morning on Amazon. What a strange series of coincidences. First Teamedup posts a question that I've been meaning to ask for ages (how do couples cope being thrown together for so long) and now this. Very peculiar, very helpful though.Margaret
pagnol
Thanks for all your responses. I was looking for the 1957 film for a friend of my daughters. I didn't know there was a book. Who is the author?Vanessa
