mary Posted May 25, 2011 Share Posted May 25, 2011 I have just been asked to be a Godmother to a French friends son, which I have to say, I have been very touched by and feel we have now been more than 'just' accepted by our french friends. Does anyone know what is traditional to give as a gift to your godson. In the Uk I have previoulsy bought my godchildren a Childrens Bible or a St Christopher or a Braclet for the girls, but is this is what is also done in France. Are these acceptiable gifts, do you give money..... My godson will be 14 soon, so a Childrens Bible might not be the right thing.Any guidance in the right direction and what is acceptiable please as I dont want to ask them incase of embarasing them.
