opas Posted February 18, 2004 Share Posted February 18, 2004 going on from fat labelling , only the other day I commented tho mr opas that food isnt labelled here as in the UK with calories, salt,sugars etc. I am not a food label junkie but do look to avoid E numbers , look for low fat,low salt etc. just trying to find theses on crisp, drinks ,yogurt and biscuits and on some brands is just not there.I thought in the UK this was law, is it not so here, even a packet of butter does not have any calorific values Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

However if you do provide the information it must be accurate, in a designated format and regularly tested.In the UK you are unlikely to find a pre-prepared that doesn't have nutritional info as the retailers want to provide customers with all of the information they would ever need!
