Since 2005 there has been testing on animals older than 30 months to try and ensure that BSE is detected and doesn't enter the food chain ( might revert to eating veal!) . Megan le Fey Posted March 31, 2007 Share Posted March 31, 2007 About 6 months ago I bought a 2 kilo pack of said Boeuf Bourguignon (the assorted cuts type) from LeClerc and found that I had 2 kilos of sliced fillet steak[:D]. Poppy Posted March 31, 2007 Share Posted March 31, 2007 Shouldn't really say this but in our area BSE is known as JCB [6]Back on track - for stewing I buy the beef labelled 'for fondue' from Carrefour.
