version of the portal provides information and links on laws and

practices in all EU states . You can get quick answers when you're faced

with some life events (divorce, litigation , relocation, death). In

addition , you can easily find a practitioner of law in another country

or learn about how to avoid costly legal proceedings . With just a few clicks, you now can find out what jurisdiction and which national law apply and, if required, what the conditions

for granting legal aid are.

In the coming years , this portal will feature

information sheets on the rights of defendants and victims for each

State. Future versions of the portal will also allow citizens to apply

for an injunction to pay online ( in a trans-boundary context ).

Finally, citizens will have a tool allowing them to refine their search

to find a lawyer .
