Ants in greenhouse

One of the things ants love doing is carting aphids around from plant to plant so they can farm them for the sticky stuff the aphids make.

Try some of those little blue traps you can get for the ants.

SEM do a gel in a tube - you put a few drops on a flat stone and place the stone in the path where the ants walk.  Once they have found it and started eating it, they will pass a poison on to the rest of the nest and the whole lot should just disappear within 48 hours.  I find the biggest problem is when the odd group of ants won't touch the gel for whatever reason (?too smart?) and then I have to think again.

Last year I was inundated with the little gritters. I tried everything, my last resort was those little plastic white traps with somethig inside that they eat. BUT I used the ones for cockroaches.....  well I was desperate.  They worked, guess they will be a little more grafty this year!.
