Tim Posted March 2, 2008 Share Posted March 2, 2008 We have been given a rather nice large pot and would like to put a long lasting shrub in it. An azalea seems to fit the bill for us, but I know they exist in both hardy and non-hardy. Not being the greatest, or keenest gardener in the world I am looking for low maintenance. Russethouse Posted March 2, 2008 Share Posted March 2, 2008 First decide on the type you want, evergreen or deciduous, then the size and colour. Then you will need ericaceous compost and some stones or crocks for the bottom of the pot and to be sure you have a good rainwater supply.If you buy the plant from outside, rather than in the houseplant section you should be all right regards hardiness.There are quite a few web sites with specialist nurseries, I would start googling [:)] Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
