Hardy Fushia's

Hello,

I wonder if anyone can give me a bit of advice ?

I have some hardy fushia's bushes that have done really well this year (first year in)

I'm afraid last week the hard frost got them and now they look a little sick, I think I read somewhere that they should be left like this until March time next year and THEN cut back. Is this right ?

Hope someone can help with this.

Thanks Mel.

I just leave them in UK, they turn into just sticks when all the leaves have gone, looking a bit messy. I tidy them by cutting back a little around March, depending on the weather. Then I cut them properly back a bit later to get them in better shape, again depending on the weather. They should sprout from anywhere on the stems that are left, so as most of mine are very spreading I cut them back hard. One of mine came from a cutting from the garden where I grew up, so over 50 years old to my knowledge, and it's still going strong!
