Hi Hester, No I read on their web site www.thepensionservice.gov.uk that pensions are always paid from the Monday after your Birthday, and it worked out that way for me.

I've just started recieving my pension from the UK, I was 60 (dont tell anyone) on the Friday 14th of August, according to the pension people my payment commenced on the monday after my birthday, payable 4 weeks later to my account in France, giving time for the transfer I recieved my first payment on the 21st of September, included with the first 3 waiting days paid as well.
