Double Registration Required Or Not?

My wife and i are currently registered as a property services type business and are now looking to set-up a B&B as well.

Do we have to register the B&B business or can we use our existing registration. Our current business will still be our main source of income.

Any comments appreciated.

Hi,

We can only speak from personal experience in Haute-Vienne, however we had our business registered in 2005 and last year wanted to add on a different facet.  A quick visit to the Chamber of Commerce and the new activity was added onto the Greffe certificate. I should point out this cost us 70,00 euros. We kept the same SIRET/SIREN number.

Thanks for the reply Tony. The main reason for the question was that we were unsure whether you had to register a B&B business regardless of any current registered business you had.

Anyone else have any comments?

Hiya,

We have just been told that it doesn't have to be registered seperately.  As it isn't our main source of income it is added as a sideline business and hasn't cost us any extra to add.

We have heard differing views but this is how we've done it through French advice and there's been no problem!
