We are staying in France on yet another property finding trip at Easter and have booked with Gites de France. Does anyone know who lets with them or have used them if bedlinen is provided. I've had a look on the site but just cant seem to see anything! Thanks

With G de Fr it would be normal to expect bedlinen to be provided but be cautious. Do you not have the address and contact number of the place you have hired?

G de Fr will let you know exactly what the gite you have booked supplies. There are minimum requirements the owner must supply and the more Epis (grading system)the gite has, the better (in general) you should expect to get.

We stayed with Gites de France two weeks ago and fabulous bed linen (and brand new towels) were provided by the owner at a small cost (E 5?). Travelling from Dubai, we can't possibly bring bedlinen with us but I rang the local GdF office in Bordeaux, gave them the property reference number and they confirmed it was available. And once we received the fax contract confirmation it was listed there clearly along with additional charges for heating/firewood, etc. and the directions. Admittedly we usually opt for a 3/4 epis property but we've always been really impressed with GdF. Happy holidays.
