Cheapest telephone calls

One Tel France has low cost. UK call approx. 5p per minute, depends on the value of your exchange rate.

www.dirland.fr (replace 0 by 2) for national/international calls

I pay 7for 210 minutes from land line in France to land line in England. It is a telephone card which I prebuy. If used on public phones you need a slightly more expensive one.

AS mentioned by 'slast', Teleconnect seem to be the cheapest at the moment. All international calls are charged at 7 centimes a minute, plus you get a happy hour of your choice every day whereupon the rate goes down to 4 centimes. There's no subscription charge and local/national calls are extremely cheap too, if anyone wants their phone number let me know.
ps. The operators speak both English and French.

Check out www.telerabais.com. It seems cheaper than most but does not work for all 08xx numbers since it thinks some of them are mobiles. UK is 3.1 centimes per minute (8am to 7pm), othrewise 1.8 centimes per minute plus a small connection charge (5 centimes I think). Calls to UK mobiles are 22.5 centimes a minute plus connection charge. You pay via your francetelecom bill.

www.lesminutes.com charge I think 0.05 centimes a minute. We have used them for three months with no problems. The site is also in english.
