When I move from Australia to France this year will my ADSL modem work on your phone system ?I did contact Netcomm but they seemed a bit unsure mumbling something about the FT line code system may be different.....I have a Netcomm NB1300 Plus 4.

Not sure if you set it up to France Telecom or to the provider you use.The most important information to enter to get a DSL Modem working is the Virtual Path Identifier (VPI) and Virtual Circuit Identifier (VCI) . These two numbers simply tell the DSL equipment on both ends that they should talk to each other, almost the same as replacing a dialed number. Each DSL Provider uses a set of these two numbers.Below is an example of three providers....You change these within the modem by entering it settings.

DSL Extreme 0/35

BellSouth 8/35

Earthlink 0/35
