France 2 news online ?

 My  friend in the USA is really annoyed and disapointed - she used to watch France 2 news with subtitles via her cable provider, then it was dropped, but she could watch it via the internet  with a tiny picture - now she says 'They're blocking any countries that aren't active members of the European Broadcasting Union'

Is there a work round for her or is that it - no access ?[:(]

Perhaps if she uses a proxy server it may work. But it would have to be a server based in Europe. I've never had success with using a proxy before, but had given up quite quickly.

Honestly, these tv companies make it so difficult.

The block of France2 is indeed very annoying and I've yet to find a proxy that will work. Meanwhile, you'll find several good local news feeds here:

http://fr.wwitv.com/

Just select France from the left menu and pick from the list that follows. If you find a proxy for France2 and 3, please post.

Just had an email from my American friend saying :

 

En raison des droits  TV très stricts concernant les images des Jeux Olympiques, les journaux télévisés de France 2 et France 3 sur nos sites ne sont plus accessibles hors Europe (UER) durant la période des JO.

 

So, it looks as if France 2 and France 3 may return after the Olympics are over.
