ChezShells Posted June 14, 2004 Share Posted June 14, 2004 We have just moved into our house and it has oil/wood heating, thing is we dont know how to get it working, the previous owner went through it but done what he showed us and nothing, how do you go from oil to wood and wood to oil, there are two units one obviously for wood burning and one for oil, does the oil need to be manually lit?amy info appreciated. Kergano Posted June 14, 2004 Share Posted June 14, 2004 We have a boiler which burns wood as an alternative to oil but so far we have only used it with oil, a large device incorporating the hot water storage. The burner should ignite when it is switched on. Ours has a trip on it and maybe this has cut out in your case. We have recently had a new burner fitted as we had trouble with it tripping.
