Perhaps you could let them know at the shelter where you intend to adopt and see whether they accept that or not. Thank you for thinking of saving a dog from a shelter.I just see you are in Maine et Loire. If the local shelter refuses you could try an association I know well there who rescue many dogs and have them in foster care. Maybe they would agree to it once they have met you here.
