Glcpons Posted April 22, 2004 Share Posted April 22, 2004 Hi, Sorry if this sounds a really daft question.Up to now we have had cars which did not have a GB sticker on the number plate and obviously stuck on one to the car. Jc Posted April 23, 2004 Share Posted April 23, 2004 "GB" on number plates is only legal on cars registered after 01/09/01 tho' you see many on plates older than that.However, the French law enacted in the 1920's has never been rescinded,so,strictly you could be prosecuted for not having a sticker and the same law requires it to be fitted to the French offside of the car-our nearside.
