swallowtail Posted November 17, 2008 Share Posted November 17, 2008 I hope someone can help me. My HGV2 license expired in July 2008. I didn't get it renewed, as I thought my driving days were over. Never say never! Anyway, my question is, do I have to re-take the test here in France, and start from scratch? or, is it possible to take a medical and back date the renewal? probably naive thinking! Sunday Driver Posted November 17, 2008 Share Posted November 17, 2008 Your entitlement to category C was earned when you originally took your test and you don't lose it - it's only the current validity on the licence which has expired. You'll have to obtain a medical report and visit your prefecture to renew the category.
