maude
Hi Folks.Just had my run about CT.d after failing last wednesday. Our local tester speaks machine gun french and will NOT slow down, which is why I am asking for this translation. It failed on the front RHS suspension arm-called a "triangle" by the tester. It aint no triangle and is not called this by Peugeot! This has been replaced so passed the CT,but the tester has put on the report again- angles de ripage avant.ripage excessive! What is this, cant find any dictionary translation.Help Maudel
dave21478
Triangle is one name for a suspension arm - usually the lower arm on a mac strut.Angles de ripage means the front wheel alignment is out - tracking in otherwords. This will wear out your front tyres quickly if not set.
Sunday Driver
A 'triangle' is a wishbone.Angle de ripage avant excessive means your front tracking is out and requires adjustment. This will be merely marked on the CT certificate as an observation not requiring a retest.Edit: Dave beat me to it....[;-)]
AnOther
Checking the tracking should be automatic following replacement of that part so go back to whoever did it for you and have it corrected. It's not a big or expensive job and somebody has either been lazy, incompetent, or perhaps hopes to get more money out of you for new tyres when they wear out prematurely.
