2 houses or 1

just bought a house in area 79 that is actually 2 houses that i will renovate to make one four bed house. at the moment it is numbered 8/10 and the road name. the first one being 3 beds , kitchen ,diner ,toilet etc. the second only a shell with a floor and from what i can make out has never really been used for anything, with one garden. does anybody have any knowledge on this. i am wondering if i will be charged 2 lots of habitation tax or any other double charges.
